Did you know that the average carbon footprint emitted during the journey of your favorite bio-produce jetting across the globe to reach your plate? Now, imagine the collective impact of such journeys on our environment. This is just one piece of the puzzle we unearthed during a transformative UX/UI Design bootcamp at Iron Hack in Berlin. We were tasked with addressing a wicked problem of enabling easy access to food sustainability while fostering equitable relationships between producers and consumers. The upshot? “BioBox… or whatever we call it” — a groundbreaking solution that not only streamlines sustainable food access but also reshapes the narrative of climate-friendly food consumption.
